Former fire department chief sells for $950K in Salinas

Steven and Diane Negro sold their four-bedroom, two bath in Salinas at 22408 Montera Ct. for $950,000 to Gary and Robin Rodriguez on July 3.
The Negros paid $300,000 for the property in April 1992.
The 2,400 square foot home was listed as high as $1.024 million.
Mr. Negro was the Chief of the Salinas Rural Fire District for 15 years before retiring in May 2006. Following his retirement he briefly served as the Interim Fire Chief for the City of Soledad.
He started his fire fighting career at the age of 16, working as a volunteer with the Soquel Fire District. He also worked in with the UC-Santa Cruz Fire Department and the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
Mr. Negro has a degree in Public Administration from Fresno State.
