LASIK surgeon spends $1.195 million in Monterey

Dr. Philip Penrose bought a three-bedroom, two bath in Monterey at 10855 Saddle Rd. for $1.195 million from Timothy and Theresa Flannery on Sept. 7.
The Flannerys paid $840,000 for the property in Jan. 2004.
The 1,920 square foot home was listed for $1.295 million.
Dr. Penrose is an ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, refractive and LASIK surgery at the Monterey Bay Eye Center. His medical interests also include the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and diabetes.
He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University and attended medical school at the University of Colorado. He completed his specialty training in ophthalmology at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.
